I am looking for regulations and policies for women married in the military. What are the disadvantages to getting married to a woman in the military?
He's going to be in the same position as your average military spouse. The frequent moves required by the military mean he will have trouble keeping career continuity. If she's deployed, he will of necessity become Mr. Mom. The long separations from family, friends, and home can be grating and stressful. It can also be stressful to be in the position of helping her with ';face time,'; going to military social events because it will help her career.

Financially, he'll be treated the same as any military spouse: free medical, cheap dental, housing allowance. She won't make more money because she's married, but benefits will expand to cover him. AFA the ';hispanic'; comment, I have no clue. Unless she means politically; it might make a difference in some commands. Or bilingual. Or perhaps her command has a lot of married Hispanics with ethnically-Hispanic families?

If he can handle all that and won't feel less than a man because he's kinda in the ';wife'; spot, he should be fine. What are the disadvantages to getting married to a woman in the military?
Married soldiers make more money. They also get a housing allowance (the actual amount depends on where she is stationed and what rank she is) or they apply for on post housing. Military spouses receive free health care. Basically they pay for our apartment and health care. I haven't seen any financial downfalls yet.

The worst part of being a military spouse is the seperation.
It depends on your comfort zone. Being in the Army is just a job soldiers have a life outside of the Army. I mean I personally no plenty of female soldiers sweet and nice as any other ladies. I Admit there is discomfort as far as Majority of there co workers are mostly men, but like i said it depends on your trust level and your partners love for you.
